Our 2014 Summer Tour took us through much of western and south-western Colorado. We left Fort Collins, headed up Poudre Canyon and over Cameron Pass to Waldon for lunch. From there we headed SE to and over Rabbit Ears Pass to Steamboat Springs. We continued on into Craig for our first night. On day 2, we headed south from Craig to Meeker and continued south to almost Rifle to pick up a Grand Tour point. We then headed back to Meeker and west to Rangely for lunch. From Rangely we headed south to Grand Junction, riding through Colorao National Monument before spending the night in Grand Junction. Our third day we headed south from Grand Junction, to Gateway, CO, where we toured the car museum, then continued SE to Telluride where some took the Gondola ride before we proceeded SW down to Cortez for the night. The next day we split into two groups with one group leaving early heading east all the way to Pagosa Springs to pick up a GT point then back to Durango. The rest of us headed east to Durango then turned north up over Red Mountain Pass, through Ouray and into Montrose for the night. We all met up in Montrose. The next day we headed east over Monarch Pass and into Salida with a stop at The Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP. That afternoon, part of the group rode east to Canon City to pick up another GT piont and returned to Salida for dinner. On our last day we headed north from Salida to Fairplay, CO, then up and over Hoosier Pass and into Breckinridge. We then rode over Loveland Pass, down I-70 and North over Berthoud Pass and into Frasier for lunch. From there we rode to Granby and north through Rocky Mtn NP on our last leg back to Fort Collins.
