For 2015, the Club decided to do a Black Hills Tour to cover some of the territory that is difficult to see during the Sturgis Rally. We left Fort Collins and headed east to Sterling, CO, then up to Sidney, NE with a stop at Cabela's. We continued north from there to Chadron, NE where we spent our first night. The second day we headed NE from Chadron and past the Wounded Knee Site and up to Badlands NP. After riding through the Park, we stopped at Wall Drugs, then continued west on I-90 to Rapid City, SD for our second night. Our third day took us south into the Black Hills, past Mt. Rushmore, over the Iron Mountain Highway, through parts of Custer State Park, over the Needles Highway to Sylvan Lake, then south to Custer, SD. for lunch. From Custer we headed north past the Crazy Horse Memorial and over some back roads up into Sturgis. From Sturgis we took our back route to Spearfish where we spent the next 2 nights. The fourth day was a free day with some riders heading west into Wyoming and some staying around Spearfish and Sturgis. Our last day took us south through Spearfish Canyon down toward Lusk, WY where we cut west on a back road to Manville. From Manville we took back roads south through Guernsey to Wheatland, then SW from Wheatland through Bosler Canyon to Larmie, Wy. From Laramie we took 287 back to Fort Collins.
